Duette Honeycomb Shades
When it comes to Honeycomb shades by Hunter Douglas, there are two primary lines. Duette is the much more well-known line of honeycomb or cellular shades. Duette is the higher-end honeycomb shade. It has more than one channel within the shade. This increases the efficiency of the shade, just like a double or triple pane window.
Applause Honeycomb Shades
The second line of Hunter Douglas honeycomb shades is Applause. This line was designed to be less expensive than Duette, but still provide the insulating properties of Duette shades. Applause shades are designed to only have 1 honeycomb channel, which saves costs on manufacturing costs. We usually recommend using Duette shades for bedrooms and Applause Shades for living rooms.
